Resort Description
Located about 35 km south of Malé International Airport (South Malé Atoll), Kandooma takes about an hour to reach by speedboat. The island is large, located on the outside of the atoll near an oceanic pass and submerged caves, representing some of the most interesting points of the atoll for surfing and scuba diving. Very close to the Kandooma Resort there is a fishing village of locals and you can see all of their daily activities .
Beaches and Pools
Towards the interior of the atoll, the island faces a beautiful lagoon excellent for water sports, while towards the outside there is a reef that protects it from the Indian Ocean on which you will find surf breaks. There is also a large swimming pool with a children area and Jacuzzi. Free use of beach towels and sun loungers at the beach and pool.
Accomodations
160 rooms divided into 4 categories: Beach villa, Duplex villa, Family villa and Water villa.
The Beach villa (max occupancy 3 adults or 2 adults and 1 child), 48 sqm., they have a patio with hammock, air conditioning, ceiling fan, queen-size bed, flat screen satellite TV, music player for MP3 and IPod, kettle with a selection of tea leaves and coffee, mini bar, safety box, private bathroom with indoor and outdoor shower, hair dryer.
The Duplex villa (max occupancy 3 adults or 2 adults and 1 child), on two floors, have a bedroom upstairs and living area on the ground floor, directly communicating to the beach. In the hallway there is a room with a bath tub and shelves to use for storing diving equipment, ideal for divers.
The Family Villa, on two floors, allow a max occupancy of 4 adults or 2 adults and 2 children.
The Water villa (max occupancy 3 adults) is a sea dwelling with a balcony and solarium also bathroom with shower and tub directly facing the sea.
Restourants and Bar
The main Restaurant "Kandooma Cafè" is for the Francorosso's clients in HB (breakfast and dinner). Extra charge: gourmet restaurant, lounge bar, snack-bar by the pool, bar for cocktail and tropical drinks, wine store. Room Service 24 hrs.

Surfing by the Island
In front of the resort, across the lagoon which is accessed by an easy paddle, you can surf the spot called Natives or Foxy' s (for those who knows Lohis, the situation is similar except that the we now have a right wave). Here the waves are fast and a perfect right to ride!
Other surfspot (close to the resort, 10-20 minutes by boat) can be reached by dhoni( see the surf map of the south Malè Atolls ).
